The truly unique 143-metre Sailing Yacht A arrived in Italy for the warm weekend, as was reported by By Tourist communication agency. Sailing Yacht A made her way to Italy from Monaco, where she was spotted together with her sister Motor Yacht A for the first time.

Sailing Yacht A was built by Nobiskrug in 2016 and was recently delivered to her owner, Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko. This luxury vessel is another proud achievement of the bespoke superyacht designer Philippe Starck, who previously designed a large number of outstanding sailing yachts. Sailing Yacht A’s cost at around $460 million, which makes her one of the most expensive superyachts in the world.

Melnichenko’s family abroad Sailing Yacht A has made stops in the stunning Italian yachting destinations: Sardinia, Nerano and Capri. The cruise services will have been taken care of by “Luise” Maritime Agency, which has 170 years of experience in yachting. The Capri tour was supported by the Capri Service Team, which has gained a great reputation in the industry of luxury services, events and itineraries.

Sailing Yacht A is a sail-assisted motor yacht with a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system. She features eight bridges, a helipad and an underwater observatory area. Her highly innovative masts of a light weight can resist extremely strong winds and measure 91 metres. Lavish accommodation if provided for 20 guests and 54 crew.

Nobiskrug began the construction of the world’s largest sailing yacht in 2012 with the intention of keeping the project confidential. However, images of the vessel were revealed at the first development stage of the so-called project “White Pearl”.
