Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Singapore, Mr. S Iswaran opened the much-anticipated inaugural Singapore Yacht Show at the ONE°15 Marina Club.
The three-day event, which ran from the 8-10 April, featured an impressive flotilla of yachts brought to the exhibition by global industry leaders from the US, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, Taiwan and China among others. In addition there is a first-time appearance from home-grown superyacht builder, Megaway Engineering and Trading.

The show, with an invitation list of VVIP regional business leaders, celebrities and international yachting enthusiasts, as well as a significant local and regional press corps, is focusing attention on the huge potential for this industry in South East Asia, as well as on Singapore’s position as a perfect strategic hub with impressive marine leisure capabilities. These include world-class marina facilities and a complete marine lifestyle offering in the making, at premiere yachting destinations such as Sentosa Cove and its exclusive waterfront properties.
There have been concerted efforts over the last couple of years by the Singapore Superyacht Association to develop the superyacht industry by pushing for expanded refit and maintenance facilities to support Asia’s expected and growing demand for larger sized yachts.

Senior Minister of State Mr. S Iswaran joined guests in touring the superyacht display and the exhibition booths.
“The Singapore Yacht Show will provide a platform for some solid business opportunities for all the international players in the superyacht market over the next few years. This in itself is testimony to Singapore’s commitment to enhance its facilities as a first-class hub for the fledgling superyacht industry in Asia,” said Andy Treadwell, Managing Director of Informa Yacht Group, organisers of the Show.
The event is supported by the Singapore Tourism Board, the Superyacht Singapore Association, with ONE°15 Marina Club as the official venue partner and BMW Group Asia, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Singapore and Julius Baer as the show’s main sponsors.
