Mr. Liu Ning-sheng—the first Taiwanese to circumnavigate the globe is specially invited to share with visitors the appeal of wind-sailing activities. More experts of sailing will also be there to provide introductory sailing lessons. After the daily Maritime Knowledge Box, visitors can test themselves in the pop quiz session.
On top of that, “Professional Forums & Seminars” invite experts to address Taiwan-specific yacht laws and regulations, yacht safety, yachting practice and fishing port revitalization. At the maritime seminar you can join leading lights of the wind-sailing industry on magical voyages as they share their tales on the sea.
The Taiwanese yacht industry has shown its mastery in shipbuilding techniques and is highly acclaimed around the world. Adding to that recognition, the Taiwan International Boat Show will be joined by the “Third Annual Yacht Design Competition” and the “International Students’ Handmade Model Ship Contest” to encourage and improve creative domestic yacht designs and aesthetics; prize winning entries from these competitions will be displayed on the exhibition floor during the event.
