Innovative new multihull superyacht concept has been revealed recently: Sailing Catamaran BLACKCAT offers a combination of highly-innovative, striking design with a great performance. The BlackCat brand was created by champion Australian yachtsman Mitch Booth, who teamed up with Malcolm McKeon to create this advanced vessel.
The yacht offers spacious accommodation spreading over 340 square metres, which is quite unusual for a vessel of her size. Multihulls, such as BlackCat combine practicality with a large, stable platform with great performance. Advantages of a multihull vessel when compared to a monohull, include speed, space, low heel, comfort and much more.
Each design will be custom-made right through to the smallest of details, to accommodate for client’s desires. This process is likely to take thousands of design man-hours to reach the required level of refinement for this quality of a superyacht.
BlackCat is designed to be made entirely from carbon fibre and this 50-metre version will be the largest single-structure carbon-fibre yacht in the world. The substantial use of glass in the superstructure will offer lovely light and airy ambience throughout her interiors. She will be able to reach a top speed of 30 knots in comfort, and the shallow draft will offer more possibilities for anchorage and harbour.
The vast main deck allows for additional flexibility and offers great areas for entertainment, socialising and relaxation. The very low levels of roll and pitch movement allow for an exceptionally stable deck for comfortable overnight stays at anchor.
The BlackCat Team provides a complete range of services from the design of the concept, construction management right through to the launch. Not only a great yacht to own for private sailing and vacations, she would be very well suited for luxury yacht charter purpose, thanks to her stability, safe cruising, comfort and large onboard areas for socialising and fun.
