This week luxury yacht builder Heesen has given a first glimpse of the stellar interior design for 50m superyacht PROJECT ORION (YN 20750) … an exciting time for her owners and design collaborators including Cristiano Gatto, Omega Architects and Van Oossanen.
Like her NASA spacecraft inspiration, the interior of PROJECT ORION is the result of meticulous research and uses highly engineered and streamlined reduced weight materials. The stunning architecture and open bulwarks have given Cristiano Gatto and his team the backdrop on which to layer a rich palette of 37 different materials including high gloss woods, woven leather and marble. Further, by keeping the colour-scheme neutral the spaces complement the vast panoramic views from the seemingly frameless windows.
She is designed for comfort and serenity and will accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 staterooms. Her master suite will be situated forward on the main deck, while her full-beam VIP, two doubles, and two twin suites will be located on the lower deck.
With the 50-metre FDHF series hybrid power systems, PROJECT ORION is a true expression of Heesen’s philosophy and capabilities. The system will deliver a silent cruising capability and flexible power management for maximum energy efficiency – vital as the yacht industry strives to limit its environmental impact.
As construction of PROJECT ORION continues on schedule, the team at CharterWorld are excited to bring you more information when she is delivered in 2025.
