As part of its preparation to play a host to the first-of-its-kind maritime summit in the world, Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA), the government authority responsible for regulating, coordinating and supervising all aspects of Dubai’s maritime sector, announced the presence of top-notch international speakers at Dubai Maritime Summit 2014. This will be held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, on October 27, 2014 in line with the opening of the 2nd edition of Dubai Maritime Week.
H.E. Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Public Works and Chairman of the National Transport Authority (NTA), will be participating at the Summit as a key note speaker, accompanied by a number of high-profile industry experts, decision-makers and professionals from all over the world to discuss the latest issues and subjects on the international maritime landscape and showcase latest developments in Dubai’s maritime sector.
Delivering the opening speech will be H.E. Sultan Bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation and President of Dubai Maritime City Authority. Other speakers will include Jo Espinoza-Ferrey, Director, International Maritime Organization (IMO); Philipe Donche-Gay, Chairman, International Association of Classifications Societies (IACS); Dr Phillip Belcher, Marine Director of INTERTANKO; and Doug Barrow, Chief Executive, Maritime London.

Dubai Maritime Summit 2014 will be held on first day of Dubai Maritime Week 2014 which is organized by DMCA every two years and is expected to attract wide participation of leading government officials, regional and international experts and ship owners and operators from the UAE and the region to discuss latest developments and updates of the local and international maritime industry.
