German shipyard Nobiskrug has announced the signing of a new build contract for an 83m/272ft luxury motor yacht PROJECT ORKAN due to be delivered in 2026.
Featuring an exterior and interior by London-based Harrison Eidsgaard Design, the six-deck superyacht – known as HULL 799 during construction – will have ‘pure white surfaces’ that ‘appear to have been sculpted over a subframe’, resulting in a bespoke look that is sure to draw attention.
The Owner’s input has already personalised the appearance and amenities on board, the latter including a helipad, extensive outdoor living spaces, and a sizeable beach club that transitions into the interior.
Nobiskrug will be responsible for the naval architecture, and M/Y PROJECT ORKAN uses hybrid propulsion with batteries to reduce environmental impact and fuel consumption, and electronic anchoring is installed to protect environmentally sensitive regions such as coral reefs. All ship operation systems will be monitored throughout the design phase to optimise energy requirements, and vibrations and noise have also been diminished to prevent disturbance to guests.
