Italian Sea Group has announced the launch of its 75m/246ft explorer yacht, the Admiral PLANET NINE. Currently completing construction, she is the 575th vessel from the company since 1942. PLANET NINE is Lloyd’s Register EMEA ID ICE – Class, allowing her to cruise in some of the world’s remotest regions.
Created for long-range cruising, she is designed with practical, comfortable and balanced interior and exterior spaces: Timeless styling blends with contemporary trends to appeal to all guests while offering cutting-edge technology for entertainment as well as stability and navigation.
The Owner’s suite is located on the main deck and offers over 300 metres of private space to the aft, while a salon and second cabin are situated in the bow. A cinema on the main deck contains a 36m/119ft screen and has exclusive access to the upper deck, which contains a bow observatory that doubles as a lounge.
The lower deck contains five guest cabins and 1 cabin for the owner’s staff. Accommodation on this deck has the benefit of direct access to the beach club and spa.
A VIP stateroom is located on the bridge deck aft, while the forward area is home to the helm station.
Two lifts (elevators) are installed for guest use and crew use respectively, the former connecting the lower deck to the sundeck and the latter the under lower deck to the upper deck where the galley is located.
“We are proud of this construction and are confident she will be a benchmark in her category,” Giuseppe Taranto, Italian Sea Group CEO & Worldwide Sales Director commented. “She is a yacht with a unique style that will attract attention in every port. PLANET NINE is also a great achievement in terms of technology.”
For transport, there is a refuelling hangar and a helipad designed for an Augusta Grande helicopter while the tender garage can store two Rupert Marine 32′ twin diesel tenders stored in the main deck aft.
