Italian Vessels based in Termoli along the Adriatic Coast has turned the finished hull of the company’s first luxury yacht project: Explorer yacht ENJOY 93.9.
Measuring 28.5m/93.5ft, ENJOY 93.9 is being built on speculation and will be constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. She is designed by Tommaso Spadolini with naval architecture from Umberto Tagliavini and is based on a flexible platform that makes a choice of superstructures and interiors layouts possible for a potential Owner.
Following the closure of the Cantieri di Termoli shipyard, Italian Vessels was formed by Mario Parigi and sons Marco and Eugenio. The site was purchased in 2014 at a bankruptcy auction and the company is now investing in a 260-tonne travel lift and site upgrades to meet current environmental and safety regulations. Once at full-strength, the shipyard will employ 40 full-time workers and will be fully owned by the Parigi family without outside investment.
The explorer model ENJOY had a forward superstructure to leave more room on the aft for storing water toys, tenders and vehicles. The WIDE model places the superstructure amidships and the more classic appearance is accompanied by an extensive upper deck aft for dining and entertaining. A series of trawler-style vessels with Ice-Class hulls – the 94 and 115 – are also being developed.
The layout offers three floors for personalisation and the main deck can host a forward Master suite, or a dining room, while the lower deck can accommodate up to four guest cabins and two crew cabins.
A pair of MAN engines producing 560 HP each allows for a top speed of 13 knots, a cruising speed of 10 knots and draws on a 30,000 litre fuel capacity for a range greater than 3,000 nautical miles.
The first ENJOY 93.9 explorer yacht will be RINA Certified and ready for delivery mid-2020.
