Waterline Yacht Design have achieved further shortlist success in the International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2014, with superyacht ‘Zenith’. Luxury motor yacht Zenith has been nominated for both the ‘Power Yacht over 40m’ Award as well as the ‘Yacht Interior Design’ Award.
The Interior Designer for the 41m wave piercing “z bow” catamaran super yacht Zenith was Vera McElroy. The interior design philosophy was to create a unique experience to encapsulate the marine world, the fluidity of water, the unique experience of being in a yacht and to capture the owner’s vision of a light, fresh aesthetic.
Luxury yacht ‘Zenith’ showcases a seamless and contemporary design of the interior and exterior, created by the same design house. Elements of loose furniture allow the yacht to be re-styled easily to future trends and tastes for any future owner.
A spacious and luxurious high class design matched with amenity, fuel efficiency and technical excellence. The light-filled spaces in the superstructure of the main and mid decks capitalise on the extensive glazing connecting to the external decks and the surroundings. This further enhances the enjoyment of being on the catamaran while experiencing the panorama of the ocean waters.
Waterline Yacht Design worked with the world leading multi hull naval architects, Incat Crowther from inception to completion on this latest build. Their focus was to capitalise on the space and efficiency advantages of a multihull while refining the overall and detailed aesthetics. Andrew O’Connell’s view is that catamaran hull technology, integrated with great lines and three dimensional forms of the superstructure can produce a highly efficient yacht with graceful, balanced and beautifully refined aesthetics.
