Jestercom, a pioneering company in the development of web-based marketing solutions for the marine industry, today announced the launch of its new “Personal Marketing Experience” (PME), an innovative smart phone/device application for boat manufacturers and their dealers.
“PME offers a turnkey, fully trackable, stand-alone marketing vehicle that delivers personalized content to prospective customers via a pre-loaded smart mobile device, such as an iPhone, iPad, Droid or BlackBerry,” said Jared Jester, president and founder of Jestercom. “By personalizing their marketing effort, the seller can create a more persuasive interaction and more effectively engage their prospects. It also promotes a lasting relationship between boat owners and the manufacturer.”
Working with the boatbuilder, Jestercom will create a highly customized interactive software application, which can be uploaded onto the PME device. The manufacturer or dealer can send it to the prospect with a note explaining that it is a gift and provide usage instructions. Alternatively, it can be handed out personally on the showroom floor or at a boat show. The PME application, which launches once the device is activated, presents a personalized welcome to the individual, along with extensive information regarding the yacht model in which the prospect is interested, including specifications, video gallery, virtual tours, boat configurator and dealer information. The application will also provide a wealth of additional content, such as local weather and tides, nearest boat ramps, fishing spots and local clubs. The seller can use this vehicle for continued interaction with the prospect throughout the selling cycle. It also provides for live chat via VoIP for questions and discussion.
Once the sale of the yacht is culminated, the PME device also serves as a tool for maintaining a dialogue with the customer, giving information on add-on accessories, merchandise tips and even access maintenance records.
