Taiwanese shipyard Johnson Yachts has announced the ninth model in the entry-level JOHNSON 80 series is currently under construction, with previous hulls having been delivered to US and European clients.
The series has exterior styling from Bill Dixon and interiors from Karen Lynn Interior Design, with the new JOHNSON 80 furnished with a light colour scheme that uses rich creams and golden tones accented by charcoal-grey. The main salon to the aft of the main deck is composed of a large L-shaped sofa, armchairs and an ottoman with a widescreen TV against the opposite side to form a casual yet alluring relaxation space that presents the Owner’s favourite art pieces. The salon flows into the alfresco lounge when the glass sliding doors are pulled back.
A country-style kitchen is placed forward on the main deck and stainless steel appliances are surrounded by marble counter-tops and back-splashes, and an island serves as a two-stool breakfast bar. The forward section is raised by a singles step and offers diners 180 views while savouring a meal at the marble table surrounded by an L-shaped dinette.
The lower deck will host four en-suite staterooms with the Master suite placed amidships to benefit from the full beam to add a large bathroom, writing space and walk-in wardrobe. The forward VIP stateroom uses an island berth and dressing table as well as having its own en-suite facilities. Between these two main bedrooms are the double cabins which instead can be twins, each with their own bathroom and the capacity for a Pullman berth.
The JOHNSON 80 comes in two designs: an enclosed sky lounge version or an open flybridge, and the current model appears to be the latter for even more exterior lounging and dining room. The Owner is provided even more customisation options with a range of fabrics, materials and finishes for even more personalisation.
Johnson Yachts will be attending the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from the 31st October until the 4th of November, where they will also be displaying their latest model, the JOHNSON 93 as well as more news of two upcoming series additions – the JOHNSON 70 motor yacht and the new flagship JOHNSON 115 luxury yacht.
