Johnson Yachts has used the occasion of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2018 to reveal two new models for its explorer yacht range: The JOHNSON 70 and the JOHNSON 115.
The entry-level luxury yacht JOHNSON 70
Designed by Bill Dixon of Bill Dixon Yacht Design, the motor yacht JOHNSON 70 is the shipyard’s entry-level vessel measuring 21 metres and offers comfort and carefully designed interiors for the optimal family environment. The sleek modern design features large windows across the hull and superstructure.
The layout can be customised to the Owner’s wishes, providing the option of an enclosed sky lounge or an open flybridge as well as the option for a three cabin or four cabin layout. The helm station, salon, dining area and galley can also be tailored to the Owner’s requirements.
Using a pair of Caterpillar C18 1015 HP engines, the JOHNSON 70 will be capable of a top speed of 25 knots.
The new flagship motor yacht JOHNSON 115
The new 35-metre flagship, the JOHNSON 115, is also a creation of Bill Dixon of Bill Dixon Yacht Design, and Design Unlimited will be responsible for the interior styling. In contrast to the JOHNSON 70, the JOHNSON 115 has a plumb bow instead of the raked appearance and a white hull and superstructure that blend together with extensive glazing providing plenty of natural lighting and a stylish contrast to break up the exterior shapes.
The sundeck features a forward Jacuzzi and wet bar with sun loungers covering the aft, while below the foredeck provides sweeping forward views as guests dine alfresco seated on the plush sofas coupled with drinks tables. The upper deck aft and main deck aft offer additional lounging and dining areas.
A high level of customisation is also available aboard the new flagship and the accommodation layout can fit five or six staterooms, with customisation also available for the sky lounge, main salon and combined formal dining area, galley and forward Master suite with office.
The stern transom door opens to expose the beach club interior to the elements for sunbathing and relaxation beside the water. While in transit, the swim platform can store a 5m/16ft tender and a garage close to the beach club can store a 5.5m/18ft tender, as well as additional water toys.
