The second night of the next week’s Monaco Yacht Show will see Jotun, the dynamic and fast growing paint company based in the breath-taking Norway yacht charter location, nestled in Northern Europe, play a host to Monaco’s very first Norsk Fest. This will be an exclusive VIP event, celebrating Jotun’s international presence in the superyacht industry as well as its proud Nordic heritage.
Organised by Superyacht Events, the evening will demonstrate the finest in Norwegian hospitality, with dinner, dancing and entertainment provided for a select list of 100 VIP guests. A specially created Norwegian menu will feature on the night, with live cooking demonstrations and a specially crafted ‘penguin spirit cocktail’, made from a special recipe that includes Norwegian Vikingfjord Vodka, a spirit made from 5,000 year old Norwegian glacier water.
Norway’s leading producer and supplier of wines and spirits, Arcus, will be providing the vodka on the night as well as traditional Norwegian drink Aquavit. Aquavit is a spirit dating back to the 15th century, and interestingly, the Lysholm Linie Aquavit to be served at the Jotun event spends 19 weeks maturing on ships travelling around the world. Arcus reveal that the changing temperature and humidity affect the fermentation process, while the constant motion of the sea swirls the aquavit in the barrels, giving the spirit its unique taste.
In addition, Bodegas Torres will also be partnering the event, providing gifts for guests and some of their gorgeous cherry red Celeste Crianza wine. Founded in 1870, Torres remain one of Spain’s largest vineyards; a 4th generation winery producing iconic wines from Spain, Chile and California. Their Celeste Crianza wine is particularly relevant to Norsk Fest, as the Jotun colours are all named after star constellations, providing the inspiration for some of their latest colour concepts.
