The month of July marks the start of the traditional holiday season in the Northern hemisphere, with plenty of private yachts and luxury charter yachts, enjoying the cruising in the azure waters of the popular summer destinations. However, for the Guernsey-based Bachmann Group, this month marked the successful completion of its internal audit process to ensure full compliance with their client’s needs. The company specializes in administratively supporting the marine industry and managing luxury yachts. They are managing such beautiful vessels as the 65-metre classic motor yacht LA SULTANA.
The first half of July saw Bachmann successfully and independently complete three process audits, each of these monitored and reviewed by separate auditing authorities.
First was the ISO 9001:2008 re-certification by DNV/GL for the required standard in Offshore Employment, Payroll and HR Services.
The ISO audit was followed by MLC 2006 re-certification for Private Recruitment and Placement Service to Lloyds Register Standard 3.404 – Part II for Seafarer Recruitment & Placement.
And last but not least, the company was awarded The Interim Document of Compliance issued by the Republic of Panama for their ISM/SMS system.
Speaking about the certification, Bachmann Group CEO Nick Saul said: “This is further confirmation of the company’s determination to be at the forefront of marine issues and the pride everyone has at Bachmann’s to do the job well, and especially to look after the crew we employ.”
