Australian Yacht Design firm, SABDES, has unveiled some early sketches of its all-new motor yacht ‘X’ concept. Measuring impressive 145 meters in length, the breath-taking mega yacht ‘X’ concept spreads over seven decks.
The 145m SABDES superyacht ‘X’ concept started life as a means to allow designer Scott Blee to flex some unrestrained creativity in exploring current and emerging styling and arrangement ideas for these size of vessels. SABDES is currently at the stage where they are investigating integration of the design to suit ship builders preferences for the technical platform and layout.
Luxury yacht ‘X’ concept has a profile that is sleek with a purity of line; the minimal detailing not emphasising the scale of the yacht. Large rounded surfacing give her a strong aesthetic, her powerful stance being similar to a warship.
SABDES have explored three options for the style of bow; The knife bow shown, a conventional flared bow with bulb below the waterline, and also a combination flared/knife where the stem turns vertically down into a knife directly below the hull knuckle.
Over the coming months CharterWorld will bring you a closer look at the latest progress and news about the 145m SABDES ‘X’ yacht design.
