The prominent NZ shipyard, Alloy Yachts, successfully launched the newest 39-metre AY44 project, which is now presumably called motor yacht Cary Ali, at 10h10 exactly, on the 18th of October 2012. Sliding the splendid superyacht Cary Ali into the Henderson Creek for her maiden voyage to the Auckland Waterfront, the day was one of the most blustery and wet the shipyard has seen in a while but the owners as well as the team from Alloy Yachts were all happy as she was christened.
Luxury yacht Cary Ali will undergo commissioning over the coming months but if the first day is any proof of a perfectly built and engineered vessel – the commissioning team have already completed the speed trials with the vessel easily reaching its design speed.
AY44 superyacht Cary Ali is 39.16m long with a beam of 8.9m and a draft of 2.7m. She is designed by Rene Van Der Velden and her interior is created by Redman Whiteley Dixon.
