The recently launched superyacht Karibu is the second Oyster 885 vessel, built by the prestigious UK shipyard, Oyster Yachts. A sistership to luxury yacht Lush, sailing yacht Karibu is designed by Rob Humphreys and the yard’s in-house team. She is currently attending the 2013 Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta, running in the popular Italian yacht charter destination – Porto Cervo in Sardinia.
Superyacht Karibu offers luxurious and elegant accommodation in 4 spacious cabins. These include a lovely owner’s stateroom, as well as 3 en suite guest cabins, one of which can be configured as a study or lower saloon area. The crew has two crew cabins and their own galley with mess area to ensure maximum privacy. Among special features of Karibu belong a huge, ergonomically designed split cockpit, which is perfect for al-fresco dining and relaxation on passage, as well as spacious, open deck areas, extended by a large hydraulic bathing platform.
Run by a Cummins QSL 9.0 246kW (330hp) diesel engine, the second Oyster 885 luxury yacht Karibu has a beam of 6,33m (20’9”) and a standard draft of 3,50m (11’6”).
