Organisers of the Hainan Rendez-Vous today announced the names of the major sponsors for their upcoming 2012 show, and the list is comprised of prestigious upmarket brands, including Swiss jewellery and watch manufacturer Chopard, wines and spirits maker Pernod Ricard, award-winning resort Mandarin Oriental from Sanya, banking and wealth management service provider UBS as well as automobile marque, BMW. The event is held this coming April 5th to 8th in the seaside resort city of Sanya, Hainan Island.
Comprising a yacht show, business jet exhibition and lifestyle showcase, the annual Hainan Rendez-Vous has brought thousands of China‘s top earners to Sanya’s picturesque shores the last two years. These wealthy elites are attracted not only by the event’s commercial offerings, but also by the show’s rich program of cultural, educational and social events. Organisers present Hainan Rendez-Vous in China as a key networking event for the nation’s leaders and their counterparts in the international community.
Anticipation for this year’s show is high after last year’s edition attracted more boats than any other yacht show in Asia. The 2012 edition will have significantly more yachts still, including the largest gathering of megayachts the country has ever seen. Organisers have made several adjustments to the show that will enable sponsors to better interact with their target VIP clients this year, including construction of a new VVIP lounge and new invitation-only events.
Chopard, Mandarin Oriental, Sanya and BMW have all sponsored previous editions of Hainan Rendez-Vous. Pernod Ricard brands Martell and Perrier-Jouët have also sponsored previous editions.
Chopard jewellery and watches have a well-known reputation for adorning celebrities at the Cannes Film Festival, Oscars and other high-profile events. The Swiss brand, founded in 1860, will have a larger presence at Hainan Rendez-Vous this year, with its High Jewellery Collection housed in an exclusive store, and other classic Chopard lines on display in a separate 120-sqm booth. Chopard will also host a gala dinner again for Hainan Rendez-Vous’ most elite guests.
Pernod Ricard is providing a number extraordinary activities to its Elite Club members at Hainan Rendez-Vous. The Elite Club is new member-based luxury service that offers a range of Pernod Ricard’s ultra prestige wines and spirits, including Martell, Royal Salute, Perrier-Jouët, Ballantine’s, Chivas, The Glenlivet, Yao Ming wine. BMW is again serving as the event’s official automobile sponsor this year. The legendary premium Germany brand is providing its ultimate JOY cars to whisk VIP visitors between the Hainan Rendez-Vous business jet exhibition and main fairground.
Hainan Rendez-Vous organisers would also like to acknowledge the renewed participation of Lacoste, which is hosting its annual champagne-fueled Sanya Pool Party on Friday 6 April from 10pm at the Visun Royal Yacht Hotel. The year’s theme: ‘Unconventional Chic’.
