Lurssen‘s 107m yacht PROJECT ICECAP has been seen on sea trials in Germany near the Wolgast shipyard, showcasing her magnitude, eye-catching design and expansive decks. She is currently under construction in her final stages at the Peene-Werft yard in Germany.
A huge explorer yacht built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she is expected to be seen cruising the world’s oceans in full safety, comfort and luxury. Following her delivery, she will enter the list of the largest mega yachts ever built with a massive interior volume of 6000GT.
With naval architecture and an exterior design by Salt Ship Design, the yacht boast distinctive exterior lines, with a typical expedition yacht design boasting numerous areas for storage of equipment, toys, tenders and a lot more. She has a helicopter pad located aft and judging by the images will have a large beach club and swim platform area at the transom.
Numerous lounging, sunbathing and dining areas will be present, with deluxe, modern accommodation for the owners and guests on board.
She is powered by three Wärtsilä 9L20C Diesel-Electric engines of 2007KW or 2692HP each. She is scheduled for delivery in 2023.
