The exceptional 107.6m/353ft mega yacht LUMINOSITY lit up the Monaco waterfront after sundown over the weekend, where she stayed for her guests to enjoy the F1 Monaco Grand Prix, heralding the start of summer and the Mediterranean yacht charter season.
Built by Benetti in 2019, M/Y LUMINOSITY was the second of three vessels launched as the second of three vessels over 100m/ 328ft as part of the Italian shipyard’s ‘giga yacht season’. She comes in at 5,844 GT and features styling from prestigious designers Reymond Langton, RWD, Giorgio M. Cassetta, Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture and Zaniz Interiors.
There is accommodation on board for up to 27 guests, however mega yacht LUMINOSITY can host even more guests onboard while in the marina, and there are several alfresco dining and lounging spots on board to watch the action in comfort. The sundeck towers above it all and has an aft helideck, Jacuzzi and wet bar to savour the warm weather and sunshine before the race begins.
The hybrid propulsion technology is so sophisticated to go virtually unnoticed by guests: The main systems can run for up to 12 hours drawing on the 3MWh battery pack, negating the need to switch on the generators. She can travel more than 10 nautical miles in electric mode, leaving port silently and cruising through environmentally sensitive regions.
The Mediterranean is the world’s most popular cruising grounds for summer yacht charters, and the Western Mediterranean puts on a packed calendar of festivals, concerts and shows to fill the days and evening hours.
