New Zealand-built motor catamaran THE BEAST has recently been launched and is ready for luxury yacht charters in New Zealand and the South Pacific region this summer.

Visit the Poor Knights Islands, home to one of the world’s top 10 dive spots as rates by the late Jacques Costeau, travel south and discover the black-sand beaches along the west coast, cruise to the Abel Tasman region for its incredible wineries, picturesque scenery and myriad islands ideal for water sports and close encounters with turtles, rays and more. Milford Sound and the surrounding area has breath-taking waterfalls where seals come to rest on the rocks, and Steward Island is a favourite spot to go bird-watching for the national bird, the kiwi, among other rare sights.

Constructed by Profab Engineering with naval architecture by LOMOCEAN, M/Y THE BEAST has a 39.2m/128.7ft length and a beam of 12m/39.4ft to provide plenty of space on board for up to 12 guests to savour discovering the incredible sights of North Island and South Island in the utmost comfort. The latest technology has been installed on board for safety, navigation and entertainment, all concealed in the opulent contemporary surroundings produced by Oceania Interiors.

There are three alfresco dining spots on board, among them a teppanyaki bar on the flybridge.
Within, the sultry dark-stained wooden panelling and matching furnishings create intimate surroundings ideal for evening entertaining: The formal dining room is separate from the main salon for a meal that focuses on gathering family and friends, while the nearby galley/bar will provide refreshments throughout the evening. The salon has plush oversized seating for resting and watching a film after a day in the sunshine. In addition to the relaxation spaces, there is an office/study for keeping up with work during extended charters.

On board there are three tenders ranging in size from 4.5m/14.8ft to 13m/42.6ft, and a wealth of water toys suited to adrenaline seekers and family groups of all ages. There are:
- 4 x kayaks (1-seater)
- 2 x kayaks (2-seater)
- 2 x Stand-up paddleboards
- 1 x Schiller Bike (pedal powered Catamaran)
- an extensive range of fishing equipment
- water skis
- a wake board, and
- Scuba diving gear
The accommodation provides for up to 12 guests over 5 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite, 2 VIP staterooms, 1 double cabin that converts into twins and 1 double bunk cabin providing four beds. The crew of 9 will ensure that every guest receives first-class service throughout their time on board.
