Following her successful debut at the 2012 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, the spectacular motor yacht Cerri 102′ FlyingSport hull n°2 was just announced as a finalist for the prestigious World Superyacht Awards 2013. The well known Carrara-based yard, Cerri Cantieri Navali, launched the Cerri 102#2 FlyingSport superyacht on August 24, 2012.
Cerri 102’ FlyingSport
A gray hull and sleek and aggressive outer lines characterise the second hull of the Cerri 102’ FlyingSport yacht, Cerri’s flagship. This craft embodies all the successful features and solutions of the “Flyingsport” concept, combining the comfort of the flying bridge and the sportiness and speed of large open yachts and flawlessly blending elegance and style, functionality and onboard liveability.
Stepping in from the aft cockpit on the main deck is the roomy salon, featuring a conversation area with sofas, a hiding TV set and a central dining table seating 10 people. The pilot station is equipped with three seats and all necessary electronic equipment and engine controls. The large windscreen and the side glazing typical of all Cerri lines ensure excellent visibility. Just above the dining table are the opening roof and two large glass surfaces, one of which can be opened to reach the fly bridge.
Underdeck, an access room furnished with a bookcase leads to the night area, allowing to reach the full-beam master stateroom to stern and the full-beam VIP cabin through a corridor heading towards the bow. Two more guest cabins with separate beds and Pullman beds are located on the sides.
All cabins aboard Cerri 102#2 superyacht are ensuite with private shower. Still underdeck, a corkscrew staircase located aft reaches the service area, including a wide galley that can also be used as a lounge for the crew and gives direct access to both the engine rooms and the captain’s cabin (with two beds and separate head); the second crew cabin – with three beds, separate head and independent access from the main deck -can be found at the extreme bow.
Outside, the 28 square-metre fly is a highly flexible and customisable area and hosts a second pilot station with hiding console, an extendable dining table to stern, a barbecue set, and a large sunbathing area.
Besides her roomy fly bridge, the luxury yacht Cerri 102 hull 2 can also boast two lovely outdoor areas: the cockpit, located aft on the main deck – which includes a comfortable sunbathing area and a dinette furnished with a multi-purpose table – and a living area at the bow with a huge round sofa that can easily seat up to 20 people.
The layout is completed by the garage: the door and the transom can be raised to gain access to this technical area, fitted with two slides for water toys – a 4.30 m tender and a large scooter.
The second Cerri 102′ FlyingSport yacht has a cruising speed of over 30 knots and can reach a maximum speed of 40 knots thanks to the unique hydrodynamic features of her hull, the two 2,600 HP MU engines, and the ZF Searex surface drives.
