Luxury yacht builder Kingship recently commissioned Ivan Erdevicki Naval Architecture & Yacht Design, Inc. to create a spacious power catamaran KINDCAT 80 able to accommodate eight guests and a crew of three, all within the yacht of up to 80 feet in length. The brief was to design a vessel with minimalist styling and clean lines, incorporating big yacht features.
KingCat 80 yacht is an aluminium catamaran with powerful twin hulls, pleasing shear line with a modern neat looking superstructure enveloped in panoramic windows all around the accommodation and, a fly bridge with a commanding view of the whole boat.
The exterior profile of power catamaran KINDCAT80 features sleek streamlined hulls with vertical stems and a long waterline for speed and efficient carving in the seaway. She is propelled by twin diesels powering water-jets with a maximum speed of 28 knots, which, in combination with bow thrusters, making her a fast comfortable cruiser with exceptional manoeuvrability at sea and in port.
The deck space is maximized using the full 31ft beam available, the leisure area is covered in teak whilst the work areas and side passageways have non-slip surface with deck fitted with flush glass hatches for natural light below. The main saloon is located over the full-width of the main deck. Separating the dining room seating eight in comfort from the main saloon is a fully fitted well-equipped galley fronted by a neat cocktail bar ideal for serving aperitifs and snacks and to service rest of the boat.
The accommodation aboard luxury yacht KingCat 80 is arranged on both the main deck and the twin hulls, the latter ones mirroring each other in layout. The airy spacious owner’s stateroom is on the front main deck offering the owner panoramic sea views from every corner of the room. Connected directly to the fore-sundeck, owner can choose to customize the use of that area according to his own needs.
Guests could access to their ensuite staterooms using the port and starboard stairways leading to the respective hull’s lower deck accommodation. All cabins get plenty of natural light from large oblong portholes in the hull and from the overhead opaque glass hatches.
The Bimini hard-top covered fly bridge is fully-equipped with a large Spa Pool, sunbeds and a grill bar right next to the sunbathing area allowing efficient services at all time. Owner can also have the option of having the flybridge semi-enclosed and air-conditioned with panoramic glass windows and doors installed. This option is perfect for owner who does not want to stay in the heat for too long while not sacrificing the nice ocean views.
KingCat is the first aluminium catamaran to be manufactured by Kingship. She will also achieve the highest speed amongst the Kingship fleet to house different needs of different clients. The abundant exterior space provides owners with vast flexibility on the entertainment he wants to enjoy on his boat.
