Commissioned by the Spanish builder North Wind, luxury sailing yacht North Wind 100 concept is a contemporary looking, deck saloon design of attractive proportions with large ‘Mediterranean-style’ cockpit, beautifully designed by Barracuda Yacht Design.
Following on from the success of the 32m Pendennis luxury yacht AKALAM, superyacht North Wind 100 concept boasts a more expansive exterior lounge view area, where a Mediterranean life can be fully enjoyed. The cockpit itself is designed in a symmetrical fashion, and by adding two discreet steering positions adjoining the rear of the deck saloon, the take-up of space usually reserved for a central wheel has been successfully eliminated.
Super yacht North Wind 100 concept also benefits from the hydraulically operated ‘transformer’ platforms, which can serve either as an extendable passerelle, multi-height adjustable boarding steps, a swim boarding ladder, a tender lift and/or an equipment loading platform.
Accommodation aboard North Wind 100 yacht concept is provided in a generous master cabin and three double guest cabins, a notable characteristic for a yacht of this size. The master cabin boasts twin bathrooms, private access to the transom platform and provide fantastic views of the surrounding environment. The lovely and large guest cabins are similarly full of natural light, thanks to large window spaces.
In the main living area, the lounge and dining areas are connected on the same level for ease of flow. The deck saloon design benefits from plenty of natural light, thanks to large side windows, as well as two overhead skylights and three sloping windows facing forward. There is also an internal steering area and navigation station.
Moreover, North Wind 100 superyacht concept features an all carbon, self-tacking cutter rig that is easy to handle.
