The Perini Navi Group has successfully handed over the luxury sailing yacht State of Grace (hull C.2180) – their 53rd sailing yacht and the first yacht in their new 40m Fast Cruising series, built at the Perini Istanbul-Yildiz shipyard in Turkey. Designed by Perini naval architects in partnership with Ron Holland, superyacht State of Grace represents the second vessel after charter yacht The Maltese Falcon to have been built entirely at the Group’s shipyard in Turkey.

Sleek hull lines and hull and superstructure in aluminum mean that the State of Grace yacht will perform brilliantly in all conditions. The sailplan is 1.192 square meters. The mast is 50 meters high and has furling boom and standing rigging in the latest generation carbon fibre. High tech laminated sails will allow this fast cruiser to sail at the height of her potential.
The interiors, designed by Perini Navi Interior designers, stand out for their pared down classical style with modern accents. The main saloon has two levels that include a comfortable dining room and an ample living area. Four comfortable cabins include a full-beam owner’s suite with a gym and can accommodate up to nine guests. The transom opens on hydraulic pistons to reveal a staircase that leads down to a beach platform that opens directly onto the sea. A 5.5m tender, stored in a semi recessed well, completes and harmonizes the yacht’s hull lines.

As for other yachts currently in construction, the Group is building their first 70m sailing yacht Sybaris (hull C.2227), scheduled for delivery in 2015, and the third yacht in their new 60m series, which can be delivered within two years, at their Perini Istanbul-Yildiz shipyard in Turkey. Another yacht in the 38m Racing Line can also be ready for delivery in a couple of years. In Viareggio work on the second 60m mega yacht P3 (hull C.2218), is proceeding well, with delivery scheduled for 2014. The Group’s 2013 production plan is going ahead with the launching of the first 60m sailing yacht and of the new 73m Picchiotti Vitruvius® motor yacht Grace E (hull C.2189).
