The Fipa Group are currently constructing a new 27S Maiora that is expected to be delivered to her owner in June of 2011. The 26.55m MAIORA 27S motor yacht by the Shipyard FIPA GROUP presents, as the other vessels of the Maiora family range, harmonious, elegant and timeless lines.
The Maiora 27S motor yacht is an updated and modern version of the original Maiora 27 first launched in 2005 with a number of impressive developments. Space is a big feature of the Maiora 27S both inside and on deck. She will be able to sleep up to eight guests in four cabins and offers a 35 square-metres flybridge area. Another special feature is her hydraulically-operated transom that unfolds into a 12 square-metre sunbathing beach terrace.
This unit was totally designed in-house by the Technical Department of FIPA GROUP that, after a great job of study and design, succeeded in setting at zero the borders between external and internal spaces. The whole project was developed together with the Owner, whose love for the Maiora’s Shipyard and the passion for design let them all deliver this totally custom-build vessel.
To give an idea of the high level of customization, consider that the Shipyard built a dedicated flybridge superstructure (one meter longer than on other Maiora 27 vessels!), adapted a functional opening-hydraulic-aft platform that, from a stern door, turns into a wonderful 12sq.m. terrace on the sea and designed, on the specific requests and Owner’s project and sketch, the unique slim and harmonious roll bar of this boat.
MAIORA New Model 27S
This Maiora 27S represents at her best the philosophy of the Tuscan Shipyard. A great partition of the spaces grants superior performances together with the unmistakable and inimitable style by FIPA GROUP. Her continuous and perfect lines tend to join together in an aggressive foredeck that makes her sporty but at the same time gives her an elegant and refined silhouette, suitable for those people who love spending long cruises characterized by top comfort. The technology on board is cutting edge and at Owner’s and crew service. The Yacht Controller, for the boat’s hand-free manoeuvring; the FLIR night-vision-camera in order to see at night or in adverse conditions and the “iPad friendly” management of the vessel are just an easy example.
While the entertainment for the free time of the Owner is granted by the presence of a jet ski located astern of the flying bridge and a tender as well, located below the fore superstructure with hatch and crane, both extremely easy to use through the comfortable cranes that manage the move out at sea.
The exteriors are very well done and, at these levels, the details are what makes the difference and makes the boat more attractive. The handrail made of natural teak wood that embraces the whole vessel is a finishing that gives you the chance to appreciate all the lines.
The cockpit of the Maiora 27S is so spacious and finely equipped to be enjoyed as a second living room for those people who prefer the en plein air life. The aft cockpit’s table, made of natural teak wood and with two upside-down polished stainless steel cone bases, has got considerable dimensions: the measurements are 1×2,6mt open and it gives the guests all the necessary space for enjoying the covered and protected atmosphere of the cockpit, whose ceiling – as the hard top’s ones – are made of mat-painted-teak wood. Furthermore, the full relaxation is granted by the presence of music, in the cockpit area and on the flying bridge, broadcast by the salon with BOSE audio system.
In the galley, the different minimalist dispositions of volumes join together in order to fully live the daily life aboard. It is a very well designed space and efficiently divided where it is easy to find all that you need. The floor is made of Savannah Corian, as the two built-inworking top sinks, while the shutters of the lower pieces of furniture and the shutters of the wall cupboard are teak lacquered.
The simplicity of the lines and the alternation of materials cover the structure of the wheelhouse which becomes a real design object. The hi-tech instruments and the ergonomic sitting, together with TV in the dinette area and connected to the TVCC system, grant a total quality, in terms of navigation.
The interiors of the MAIORA 27S motor yacht are all characterized by high quality details and functionalities. Like for instance, the internal access stairs to the flying bridge made of stainless steel with lightened glass steps; the pieces of furniture made of teak wood and leather; the electric Roman Shade curtains in the salon and in the master’s cabin. In the salon, besides the 42” TV, the semi-glossy maple parquet on the floor and the ceilings made of Ivory Ultraleather and the four-zone-entertainment BOSE Lifestyle 48 system (fly, salon, cockpit and foredeck areas) are worthy to be mentioned. In every guests’ cabin there are 20”TV, apart from the aft portside guests’ cabin in which a 26”TV is installed. All of them are equipped with DVD reader and SKY decoder. While in the Master’s cabin there is an incredible built-in (even though it would be better to say “behind-built”) 42”TV in the wardrobe, working as a (dark) mirror once it is turned off or as a superb cinema screen when switched on.
The bathroom areas are refined, also thanks to the special lighting that was studied in order to grant both a functional dedicated light and a diffused light embracing the whole space with a warm relaxing shade. The choice of valuable materials and ton sur ton combinations make these tiny ambient, a top-level-luxury space to be lived in the most absolute privacy. The right mix of design and functionality in the bathrooms is marked by the use of Yellow Egyptian type marble with sandblasted finishing and sinks made of stainless steel. The accessories and tap are by DORN BRACHT and the floors are teak wood made, while the shower in the master’s cabin has the hydromassage-double use, through jets of water system.
On the flying bridge there are no limits! The fly-zone, together with the gentle structure of the hard top, represents a real open space where it is possible to appreciate the passion for the sea cruising. With a total space of about 35 sq.m., the Owner and his guests will enjoy every single detail: elegant teak on the floor; the piece of furniture dedicated to the lounge bar and more similar to a real second galley (completely equipped with cooking top made of Corian, fridge, dishwasher, a sink and the grill top); 42”-pop-up-system TV, located within the back seat of the sunbed; the Spa Pool tub with covering that could be easily turned into a spacious sunbed.
To complete this incredible fully-custom-built Maiora vessel, it is important to note the active stabilizer-fins system; telephones by Bang&Olufsen; the two watermakers by 100Lt/hr and the washer/dryer combo in the stern garage. Just to mention some voices.
The extreme “V-deep” hull, typical of all FIPA GROUP yachts, perfectly joins the two engines MTU 12V 2000 M94 by 1936hp each, giving parsimonious fuel consumption.
The performances and the comfort on the MAIORA New Model 27S are the perfect result of a marriage between an innovative design and the strong craftsmanship by FIPA GROUP.
A vessel which seems to follow the sober philosophy kept by FIPA GROUP during the last 30 years: to build something valuable in the long term and to give a physical soul to the Owners’ dreams.
