Following extensive sea trials, the majestic 42m sailing superyacht TOPAZ (J8) has recently left Holland Jachtbouw to start an exciting new life cruising and racing amongst other luxury yachts and the J Class fleet. Beautifully penned by Hoek Design, the 26,80m sailing yacht TOPAZ is based on the original lines of Frank Paine’s classic 1930s yachts. She has been built with a reduced wetted surface and higher keel aspect ratio to the longest waterline length yet to be seen in a J Class yacht.
Moreover, TOPAZ yacht’s J Class stablemate, luxury charter yacht RAINBOW, also constructed at Holland Jachtbouw, reached her home yard for a minor refit, so both Js were alongside at the shipyard earlier this Summer, along with the 43m sailing superyacht ASGARD (ex Hetairos), undergoing an 18-month refit.
In addition, Holland Jachtbouw is currently working on the construction of two new explorer yachts, being built with an emphasis on weight saving and optimum placement of systems. They are intended for long distance cruising in the Baltic and polar regions.
