Marina Bandar Al-Rowdha, the largest, oldest and most prominent superyacht marina in Oman, has become a new member of “Destinations”. This represents the international network of exclusive superyacht marinas, created by ART Marine Marinas, the leading marina management company in the Middle East.
This alliance creates more opportunities for relationship between the marinas in the GCC region. The new partnership offers reciprocal benefits such as three days free berthing, discounted F&B and enhanced services at all the marinas affiliated to the ART Marine Marinas network.
Bob Looker, General Manager at Marina Bandar Al-Rowdha says: “We are delighted to be a part of the Destinations network and look forward to a long and successful association with our colleagues around the world. Marina Bandar Al-Rowdha has a lot to offer, located as we are in the very heart of the fantastic cruising ground that is coastal Oman. In addition, we also boast world class big game fishing on our doorstep, annual visits from half a dozen great whale species, plus dolphins and turtles. Wreck diving, snorkeling and golden deserted beaches are available all within a very short boat trip from our entrance.”
“I am pleased to announce that Marina Bander Al Rowdha is the latest addition to our network of marinas around the globe. This marina is particularly dear to my heart since I managed it back in 2006, and I warmly welcome MBAR to our “Destinations” family; this alliance should benefit all yacht owners in the region and work in favor of the development of yachting in the GCC. “Destinations” is not only about offering additional privileges to our berth holders, but also aims at creating stronger relationships and communication between the best and most exclusive marinas in the world,” commented Bruno Meier, the Chief Operating Officer at ART Marine and Head of the Marina Division.
Marina Bander Al Rowdha
Marina Bandar Al-Rowdha is located in Muscat, between the warm blue waters of the Sea of Oman and the craggy Hajar Mountains of northern Oman. There are 500 wet and dry berths serviced by modern launch equipment, all berths are behind security barriers manned 24 hours a day. There is a 65 ton travel lift and fully equipped marine workshops, including marine electronics, carpentry, welding and painting. Charter boats are available for coastal cruises, whale and dolphin watching, sports fishing and sunset cruises. There is an on-site scuba diving operator. No membership is required to use the marina facilities such as the restaurant, bar and pools. A recently added attraction is a semi-submersible boat which operates in the beautiful khawrs at Bandar Al-Khayran. Passengers are taken from the marina to the semi-submersible by a fast transfer boat and they then embark in the semi-sub for an hour of underwater exploration.
