Marina Projects Ltd is delighted to have secured a Marine Licence for Premier Marinas to carry out capital dredging as well as pontoon works associated with the development of a dedicated event berthing facility at Gosport Marina. Premier Marinas is one of the UK’s largest marina groups and appointed Marina Projects to secure the complex licence application process was performed correctly, and finished on time.
Once completed, Gosport Marina will feature 27 new berths for yachts measuring up to 32m (105ft) in LOA.
John Cervenka, Premiers’ Operations Director commented, “This is a really important development for us and the timescales were very tight, with no margin for delay. We are all too aware of the complex licensing regime and took the decision to appoint Marina Projects as the need for specialist additional resource was apparent to guarantee that the relevant procedures were followed and the consent delivered on time. Mike Ward and his team at Marina Projects did an excellent job for us. With their regulatory contacts, knowledge of the licensing regime and experience, they delivered ahead of the deadline and exceeded our expectations. They clearly communicated their approach and put a strategy in place that dealt seamlessly with all of the consultation and regulator discussions.”
With the Marine Licence and planning permission now in place, Premier have already begun work on the reconfiguration which, amongst other uses, will be home to the new Clipper fleet.
