May 11, 2013, was marked by the official opening of R Marine Mandurah dealership, attended by more than 100 Riviera yacht owners. The new Riviera dealership was opened by a long time Riviera owner, Carl Segreto.
It was a cocktail party to remember for those who joined the new team as they ran through the football style banner to mark the occasion before raising their glasses of Moet in a toast to Riviera’s newest dealership in Western Australia.
Riviera 47 Enclosed Flybridge owner Clint Jakovich lead the team through the banner and said it was a real privilege to be part of such a momentous occasion.
“It was an awesome evening, really well organised, the food was fantastic and the company was great,” he said.
“It’s great to have a new dealer in town and Carl is very knowledgeable and passionate about Riviera and I am sure he will be very successful.”
Carl said there was a real need for a Riviera presence in Mandurah, which is located 75 kilometres south of Perth, and he hoped to offer a new level of service and knowledge to his owners through a host of functions, events and owner experiences.
“There are 550 Rivieras in Western Australia, 140 of them are in the Mandurah area alone,” Carl said.
“As a Riviera owner I never had the opportunity to go on a lot of Perth based events because we were some distance from Perth but I have a real passion for the Riviera brand, the product and the people.
“When you purchase a Riviera, you are not just investing in a beautiful new boat, you are accessing a lifestyle and membership of a unique family. I have owned many boats during my lifes but for 25 years I dreamed of owning a Riviera. I get excited about the boat shows and I love touring through the Riviera factory on Queensland’s Gold Coast and seeing all of the boats in varying stages of construction.”
Carl said it was a proud moment when long time Riviera owners Bill and Waverley Treby officially opened the R Marine Mandurah office.
“Bill and Waverley have owned three Rivieras and are iconic for the Riviera brand in our area. They love the boats and support the brand very well,” Carl said.
Bill said it was an honour to open the new R Marine Mandurah dealership.
“We got quite a surprise because we flew back from Adelaide to be at the opening but we had no idea we would be asked to do the honours,” he said.
“Riviera is now well represented in Mandurah and Carl is very well respected within the town so I am sure he will do well. We had a great night at the official opening, it was very professional and entertaining.”
As a multiple Riviera owner, Carl understands what Riviera owners want and need and with the support of his team; Paul Cotton in sales, Kate Martin in reception, Amanda Collins in administration, Sharron Segreto in events, and Veronica Wools in marketing, Carl looks forward to hosting many more functions and events.
A diesel mechanic by trade, Carl has spent 27 years in the transport industry. He bought his first truck upon completion of his apprenticeship and his fleet and transport business grew from there. In his 27 year career he has clocked up more than three million kilometres travelling the highway between Perth and Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, and Perth and Brisbane.
When he is not on the highway, Carl enjoys spending time on board his Riviera 47 Open Flybridge with his wife Sharron and son Chevy. He enjoys cruising up and down the Western Australian coast clocking up about 120 to 140 hours a year on his boat. His favourite anchorages are Rottnest Island, Busselton, and Mangles Bay.
R Marine Mandurah is encouraging Riviera owners in the area to register with the new dealership to receive exclusive invitations to events and the latest R Marine Mandurah news. To officially mark the opening of the new dealership, R Marine Mandurah is offering a 10 per cent reduction in the next service cost to all those who register with the dealership before the end of July.
