Turkish shipyard Mazu Yachts has announced the sale of the first MAZU 82 hull to a Turkish Owner. Measuring almost 25 metres in length, the open yacht offers extensive living space on board for a couple or family, with room to entertain guests while dockside.
Designed by the shipyard’s founder, Halit Yukay, who has extensive experience at sea, the MAZI 82 has a sharp and sporty appearance further emphasised by her dark hull. Large hull-side windows characterise the design and illuminate the three spacious staterooms within, all of which have received the treatment of celebrated designer Tanju Özelgin – the first time an outside designer has worked on one of the shipyard’s vessels. Carbon composite sandwich construction in the hull has produced a shallow draft and reduced drag to ensure efficiency and optimal performance from the triple Volvo Penta IPS engines, each generating 1,000 HP.
The accommodation places the full-beam Master stateroom amidships and the layout contains a walk-in closet and an en-suite with shower. A VIP stateroom will be located forward and a double cabin off the passageway.
The first MAZU 82 hull will be delivered at the end of summer 2019.
