MCM were present at the re-launch of the newly refitted 27,5-metre charter yacht Wavelength (ex BooToo), whose owner has benefited from MCM, acting as his representative, keeping all involved motivated, with a watchful eye on costs as well as quality. Designed by Ron Holland, sailing yacht Wavelength has been beautifully refitted by Holland Jachtbouw in the Netherlands. MCM were also recently present at the launch of the 32,6m superyacht Inukshuk.
“We first got involved when the clients were in discussion about a new-build. After careful evaluation, it was deemed best to purchase an interim yacht, use it for a year or so and then refit it to address any shortcomings” – Peter Wilson, MCM.
The refit of Wavelength yacht included moving the helm from mid cockpit to aft deck to allow a larger cockpit table for guests and converting the master cabin from a twin to a queen and replacing the owner’s office with an extra cabin as well as refurbishment of mast, sails, hydraulics and a new main engine.
MCM, celebrating 25 years since its own launch in 1988, will be exhibiting in the Parvis Piscine at Monaco Yacht Show again this September, where founding partners Nigel Ingram and Peter Wilson will be on hand along with Michael Tywhitt-Drake, Mark Dauplaise and Erika Moore from the Yacht Management Division.
MCM has managed the construction of over 70 yachts in the last 25 years.
