Friday, July 5, 2013, saw the Brazilian shipyard, MCP Yachts, launch the Hemisphere 140 yacht Raffaella II (hull no. 085). Luxury motor yacht Raffaella II hit the water after 2,5 years of construction and more than 150 direct professionals involved.
The aluminum yacht Raffaella II is extremely lightweight and operation with the shipyard’s 150 ton travelift only took a few minutes to be completed.
In the upcoming weeks Hemisphere 140 superyacht Raffaella II will undergo sea trials and small finishing details before being delivered to her Brazilian owner.
The 43-metre Raffealla II yacht design was developed by the Shipyards in-house staff in collaboration with Vripack to produce a hull with exceptional transoceanic performance. This semi-displacement oceangoing aluminium superyacht complies with Lloyd’s requirements and, thanks to her twin Caterpillar C32 1825 BHP engines will be able to reach a top speed of 19 knots. Under cruising speeds she will have a capability range of 4,000 nautical miles necessary to make oceanic crossings, in any weather and sea conditions.
Luxury yacht Raffaella II is the largest yacht ever built in Brazil representing an achievement in the country shipbuilding history. She comes with a illuminated glass spiral staircase binding the main to the upper deck, sauna, spa pool and generous walk-around exterior decks which connects a number of different lounges, seating and dining areas ideal for relaxing and entertaining.
