Members of the MDL Consultancy team were pleased to meet with delegates from the South Korean Port Authority, treating them to a guided tour of some of MDL’s leading luxury yacht marinas, as well as enjoying a traditional English high tea, whilst discussing their exciting marina development project in South Korea – Incheon Port.
The guests were given a quick tour of Ocean Village Marina in Southampton, before boarding Much Ado for an afternoon out on the water. The trip took them to see just a few of MDL’s marinas along the south coast, including Shamrock Quay on the River Itchen, where they had a waterside perspective of this historically rich marina.
They also visited Hythe Marina Village – the first marina village to be built in the UK – where they were welcomed through the lock gates to see the residential development of waterside homes. Finally, they tied up to Hamble Point Marina and after a brief tour of its boatyard operations headed to Outlook House, MDL’s head office, to discuss the Incheon Port marina development plans.
Delegates from the Incheon Port Authority included Vice President, Mr Kyu-yong LEE and Marketing Director, Mr Soon-cheal KIM, along with six other key representatives.
Clive Holmes, Commercial Director at MDL Marinas, commented: “We were delighted to meet with Mr Kyu-yong LEE and his team to discuss the plans for the Incheon Port marina in South Korea. The development is due to be one of the biggest passenger terminals and marina resorts in Korea, so it would be a very exciting project to offer our consultancy services to. It was an honour to be able to give the delegates a tour of some of MDL’s sites along the south coast – we hope they enjoyed the trip and got a taste of what our consultancy services are capable of.”
