Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at the historic Yacht Club of Greece in Mikrolimano, saw the Greek Yachting Association hold a press conference, under the Aegis of the Ministry of Shipping, Maritime Affairs & Aegean and with the official support of the Peloponnese region and municipality of Napflion.
Mr. Michael Skoulikidis introduced the main features of the Association and presented the program of the inaugural Mediterranean Yacht Show. It was during the press conference, that Mr. Skoulikidis announced that the Mediterranean Yacht Show (Napflion 3-7 May, 2014) will conduct and schedule all of its activities and events under the aegis of the Ministry of Shipping, Maritime Affairs & Aegean.
The press conference was graced by the presence of the Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Change, Mr. Yiannis Maniatis. The Minister’s speech included the promise to provide the organization with an informative environmental seminar, a conveniet opportunity for all attendees to keep up to date with the latest Hellenic Presidency priorities.
Mrs. Konstantina Nikolakou (Peloponnese Regional Vice Governor) and Mr. Dimitris Kostouros (Mayor of Nafplion) also announced their official support of the Mediterranean Yacht Show 2014 and the event continued with a team discussion regarding the promotion of the broader area of the Peloponnese as a new yachting destination.
Closing the Press Conference Mr. Michael Skoulikidis announced that the Mediterranean Yacht Show 2014 will host an informative session on Greek Government Maritime Law in conjunction with a brief overview of the upcoming legislation.
