The dates have been unveiled for one of Mexico’s most popular boat shows, the Cabo Marine Show. Set to run from May 15 to 17, 2014, the event is expected to bring three amazing days of sunny skies as well as cool breezes over the Cabo San Lucas superyacht marina, setting the stage for the 5th anniversary edition of the highly anticipated boat and marine products expo.
“In 2013 exhibitors grew by 15% more than the 2012 show and we’re expecting even more growth in the weeks prior to this year’s show,” said Oscar Avalos, Director of MAA+ EVENTOS, Meetings & Conventions, the company that manages the show.
The Cabo Marine Show was launched amid economic turmoil and a downturn in tourism during one of Mexico’s most trying years, yet the show has shown great progress and support over its first four years and has quickly grown to become a permanent fixture on a busy annual calendar of events in Los Cabos, Mexico.
“Of Mexico’s currently running boat shows, we remain the only one that has been doing it for four straight years — since 2010. And this year will mark our fifth year, making it Mexico’s longest running boat show” said Sergio Igartua, event founder/producer and owner of the show. “Support by our local and federal tourism authorities, coupled with the best weather in Mexico and a renewed sense of stability in the marine industry, will make for our most successful three – day event yet.”
This year’s fifth anniversary edition will feature a used – boat market (quickly becoming a successful feature of the show), local and domestic yacht brokers, marine products and services, art exhibits and fine jewelry along the boardwalk exhibit area, surrounded by numerous restaurants and bars.
The traditional VIP cocktail receptions will be held at L – Dock, where exhibitors can relax and conduct business. Event sponsors include IGY Marina Cabo San Lucas, the Los Cabos Tourism Board (FITURCA), Bahia Hotel & Beach Club, among others soon to be announced.
