Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design has released its latest expedition yacht concept MMX45, a 45m/147.6ft vessel capable of taking eight guests to destinations worldwide with a minimal crew and staff of five.
The compact explorer has a draft of only 2.13m/6.9ft for access to shallow inlets and bays, and the beam of 8.2m/26.9ft provides an excellent interior volume without compromising on stability or efficiency when cruising through the seas.
Among the MMX45 design features is a 360 degree view from the elevated helm station and observation lounge, forward and side-facing windows in the Master suite and an abundance of storage on board for tenders, water toys and vehicles.
Advanced foils and stabilisers have been incorporated into the design for the utmost comfort on board while cruising and at anchor, and the engines produce a top speed of 18 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles.
