Set to take place from 1st to 3rd May 2013, the Palma International Yachting Forum is firmly written into the early season calendar of nautical events. The event will host an impressive attendance list of specialist participants as well as leading authorities from the superyacht world.
Apart from a comprehensive website giving complete details of the forum, there is now a mobile device app which can be downloaded for free including all the required information on the venue and program, plus an instant booking form. Numbers will be restricted to 120, and with just 10 weeks to go the organisers advise booking now to avoid disappointment.
Running alongside the 30th Boat Show Palma, which itself is hosting an impressive line up of over thirty +24 metre luxury boats in the first ever Palma Superyacht Brokers Show, the forum will cover a varied range of key subjects concerning the administration, technical management and ownership of large commercial yachts.
The forum managers, Patricia Bullock and Peter Franklin, say that they have created a five day program, which will enable overseas visitors to not only benefit from participation in the interactive workshops, but to also to enjoy Palma de Mallorca outside of the forum session hours. This includes networking lunches, cocktails and a paella dinner all interspersed within the agenda, and a friendly one day golf competition at the Jack Nicklaus designed Puntiro golf course on Saturday 4th May.
For those staying over the weekend there will be free entry to the boat show, and a unique ‘Rib,Ride ‘n’ Rotor’ rally on Sunday 5th May. This will give up to 100 people an opportunity to see the best of Palma and its surroundings in three ways….Across the bay in a high speed RIB, some off road driving in a fleet of Karmann buggy cars, and a helicopter ride to view the port from the air. All in the same day, and for one special all inclusive price! These weekend fun events will be offered exclusively to forum participants who book before the 21st March. After that they will be made available to the wider yachting fraternity, if any places are still free.
