Antibes Marine Chantier with a total turnover of €7m and 21 highly-qualified experts in the profession has been recently acquired by Monaco Marine, a well known specialist in the maintenance as well as repair of yachts in the Mediterranean.
Thanks to this strategic expansion, Monaco Marine will be closer to its clients by extending its network of shipyards over the Mediterranean region. The company has now reached the critical size that will enable it to optimise its resources by continuing its policy of quality and safety.
Established locally for over 30 years, Antibes Marine Chantier, better known as Chantier Tréhard, is renowned for its skills and ability to manage repair and refit works on prestigious vessels. With Monaco Marine, it will continue its operations along the same lines for its clients, partners and teams, whilst benefiting from the quick qualification of its size for the ISO 9000 standards in accordance with the Monaco Marine processes.
Chantal Lemeteyer, Director of Monaco Marine France, announced: “We are delighted to be associated with a town so prestigious and ambitious for the coming years. We aim to actively contribute to its attractiveness, support its economic dynamism, and we would like to be part of the policy for excellent services developed on the ports of Antibes.”
Founded in 1995 by Michael Ducros, the Monaco Marine Group today has 6 shipyards: Antibes, Monaco, Beaulieu Sur Mer, Saint Laurent du Var, Cogolin and La Ciotat. With a workforce of 200 specialists and a network of partners of 600 people, the Group offers a full range of services for boats of all sizes, including all trade associations.
Monaco Marine, which thus consolidates its presence in the PACA region, anticipates a turnover of €50m in services to amateur sailors and the professional Yachting sector in 2012.
