Italian shipyard Mondomarine, part of the Palumbo Superyachts Group, has announced a new all-aluminium ‘Classic’ line of luxury yachts which revisits the shipyard’s heritage while offering cutting-edge upgrades in comfort, amenities and technology.

Three models have so far been announced, measuring 43m/141ft, 50m/164ft and 63m/206ft and all come with a semi-displacement hull and low draft to suit the shallow waters and secluded beach anchorages of the popular Caribbean luxury yacht charter grounds.
Luca Dini Studio is responsible for the exterior styling for the first model, the CLASSIC 50, as well as the exterior styling for the Discovery line as well.
“The 60-metre M/Y Sarastar delivered by Mondomarine in 2017 was my starting point,” comments Luca Dini.
“Speaking of external lines, our target was an evolution, yes, but without distorting the original design of that boat characterized by a sporty and elegant footprint with a combination of corners and curves, sinuous shapes and angles that, far from being strident, was quite harmonious. In short, a creative review that, paradoxical as it may seem, translates into a Modern Classic”.
Amongst the balanced appearance of gentle curves and sharp angles of the hull and superstructure, intricate details and engravings have been added that catch in the sunlight.
The CLASSIC 50 can accommodate up to 10 guests over 5 en-suite cabins, with the Master suite, which has two private balconies, placed on the main deck and the remainder on the lower deck.
A pair of MTU 12V4000M73L engines allow for a top speed of 22 knots, a fast cruising speed of 18.5 knots and a range of 3,500 nautical miles at an economical 12 knots.
