Earlier today MondoMarine launched its largest yacht yet: 60.3m/197.8ft superyacht SARASTAR. Launched from the Savona shipyard, MondoMarine’s latest achievement is constructed entirely out of aluminium and heralds in the M60 series of yachts to range from 41-64m.
Built for an Italian owner, superyacht SARASTAR celebrates Italian artistry through Luca Dini’s thorough design and detailing that works in perfect conjunction with interior designers Silvia Margutti and Gabriele Tartaelli. Together, they have applied an impressive and ambitious interior design concept across more than three decks while bringing classic style to contemporary living.
Unique and precious stones decorate the interior: White onyx and marbles lend their lustre to many of the floors and surfaces and the two centrepieces come from artists Lorenzo Malfatti and Baldi. The latter artist designed the impressive and imposing golden-hued dining table, constructed from a slab and held aloft only by an off-centre support. Artist Lorenzo Malfatti created what is perhaps the most striking feature aboard luxury yacht SARASTAR – the glass sculpture surround to the internal staircase.
Outside, SARASTAR uses clever design to make use of retractable surfaces to extend deck space and create a beach club when stationary. When fully shut, the enclosed space is large enough to be utilised as a tender garage and when extended the additional room could also be used as a dance floor or helipad for receiving and entertaining guests.
MondoMarine has as much to offer in substance as she does in style: the flagship yacht is capable of a comfortable cruising speed of 18 knots and a top speed of 19.5 knots. Her aluminium hull increases the efficiency of on-board stabilisers to reduce motion while at sea.
Luxury yacht SARASTAR features a main-deck Master suite, granting easy access to all amenities. Up to 12 guests can stay aboard and the 3 double cabins and 1 twin cabin are just as finely decorated in silk wall coverings.
Superyacht SARASTAR will debut at the Monaco Yacht Show from the 28th of September until the 1st of October. Future projects from MondoMarine include an M40 explorer from Sergio Cutolo and an M45 also by Luca Dini, both expected to launch in 2017.
