The new motor yacht 95 Raised Pilothouse is the latest stunning vessel, created by the US shipyard Hatteras Yachts, expected to be officially presented in the Summer of 2013. Representing the standard for Hatteras’ next generation of motor yachts, the 95 Raised Pilothouse superyacht brings styling cues from her classic lineage into the 21st century.
“The 95 RPH will be our new flagship, and is the yacht we wanted to develop for all of our existing motor yacht customers. In addition, we envision her to be our brand ambassador as Hatteras expands into new and resurging markets – such a China, Australia and South America,” states Jim Meyer, president and chief executive officer of Hatters Yachts.
“Our product development and manufacturing teams made a tremendous statement in the marketplace with our GT Series. To have created a new line-up of sportfishing convertibles with best-in-class performance, fit-and-finish, build strength, and pricing is an achievement of which we are very proud. We are all very excited to now turn our efforts toward the 95 RPH and make the same kind of statement in the large motor yacht market.”
Hatteras has drawn on its 52 years of history, outside consultants from around the world and inspiration derived from some of the finest mega yachts afloat to design the luxury yacht 95 RPH. Classic beauty and unrivaled craftsmanship, ship-like features and amenities, along with everything one typically expects to find in a Hatteras yacht define this new flagship.
With a massive flybridge, an overall length of 100 feet, and a beam of 22 feet, 6 inches, her entertainment spaces and interior volume are easily compared to a mega-yacht much larger in size. Not only does the Hatteras superyacht 95 RPH deliver on volume, she will also be outfitted like a much larger yacht – featuring content such as a grand side entry with spiral staircase, twin anchors with heavy-duty windlasses and integral chaffing plates as well as optional on-deck master suite.
This new flagship of the Hatteras fleet will be offered as a heavily contented, turnkey package. “Everything from Zero-Speed stabilizers, bow and stern thrusters and a premium A/V system to a stocked wine cooler, bath robes and linens are included,” says Meyer. Also included is an electronics allowance that will easily outfit a true captain’s pilothouse, equipping it to meet the demands of cruising in exotic seas across the globe.
The standard layout features a four-stateroom/four-head arrangement with a full-beam master suite, twin staterooms to both starboard and port, and a VIP suite forward. An optional arrangement delivers the same spacious four-stateroom arrangement below, plus a master suite on the main deck. On the flybridge, the design team created an innovative line of modular furniture that allows this space to be customized to the specific needs of the customer.
A luxurious al fresco dining suite, comfortable lounges, custom wet bar and more are all available to create a truly unique outdoor space. An observation lounge lies at the bow and an additional dining area can be found on the aft deck under the protection of the flybridge overhang. Crew quarters reside aft of the engine room, and are easily accessed by a bustle door in the transom or a discrete stairwell off the aft deck.
“This new model will offer the amenities of a much larger vessel, but with a more responsible price tag,” says Meyer. “Our current customers are asking for something larger than our current 80MY, without the expense of crewing and maintaining a mega-yacht. We feel certain that the 95 Raised Pilothouse will speak to the needs of both our domestic and international owners.”
“I have the utmost confidence in the Hatteras Team. Our designers, engineers and craftsmen in New Bern are world-class. I would stack their work up against any other yacht builder. Anything less, would not be a Hatteras.”
