The 42m semi-displacement Superyacht Basmalina II (ex Project Sunbeam) has been delivered by the Dutch superyacht builder ICON Yachts in Harlingen, the Netherlands to an experienced Owner who specified a yacht to an exacting brief with highest levels of craftsmanship, innovation and attention to detail. Motor yacht Basmalina II, formerly known as Project Sunbeam was launched in April 2011.
The Owner appointed Mega Marine to provide the full range of super yacht technical and contractual consultancy for completion of the GRP semi-displacement luxury yacht built to LY2 standards and unrestricted service levels.
There was a high priority placed on the innovative design and engineering of M/Y Basmalina II, while using only the finest materials and fabrics for all areas and a sophisticated audiovisual system throughout which ensured safety, efficiency and comfort. The custom designed tender and the high powered underwater lights complete the picture of the modern Basmalina II, super yacht for the visionary owner.
The hull and superstructure of Motor yacht Basmalina II were built by a Northern European builder and then delivered to ICON Yachts for completion. The owner’s representatives Mega Marine was involved in the coordination of the Basmalina II yachts construction until delivery.
