The luxury motor yacht Gulf 75 Exp represents a brand new design from the premier Middle Eastern shipyard, Gulf Craft. The all-new Gulf 75 Exp yacht challenges conventional ideas of modern yacht design, featuring a wide-beamed hull, whose form follows function.
Sharing a similar design ethos as the innovative superyacht Gulf 95 Exp launched in 2011 – which celebrated the “living on water” concept – the Gulf 75 Exp yacht also brings to the fore many design elements that are geared towards mimicking a luxury apartment on the water.
The new Gulf 75 Exp yacht keeps this idea of sumptuous living on the water at the core of her design, with a wider beam that supports generously-sized outdoor and indoor living areas, a spacious fly-bridge, wrap-around windows and a bright, well-lit interior that’s conducive to extended periods of living on the water.
The luxury yacht Gulf 75 Exp cockpit area, extraordinarily wide and featuring several benches and table, is better equipped to serve as an informal entertainment space than in any traditional fly-bridge yacht in her size. Entering into the saloon, the panoramic wraparound windows maximize light and a feeling of space, while the open-plan kitchen and dining area are reminiscent of a studio apartment – further elevating the feel of an over-water vacation home.
The bright White Oak, Sapele Veneer and White Onyx scheme additionally boosts the light, airy feeling of the interior space.
The kitchen is fully equipped with high quality De Dietrich appliances including a hob, oven and microwave. Across the corridor, a stylish day head bathroom with a black and silver mosaic panel gives way to the wheel house.
The wheel house features a helm and plenty of seating for friends and family so that the captain can enjoy the cruising experience with his entourage. A casual “breakfast nook” style seated area makes for a great spot to enjoy a coffee and chat en route.
In accordance with specific owner’s requests, the Gulf 75 Exp yacht’s first hull features an uncharacteristic lower deck layout comprising just two spacious guest staterooms with en suite bathrooms instead of the conventional four guestrooms. A unique seating area, featuring a settee and TV, adds another lower-deck living area to the owner’s suite, further enhancing the yacht’s liveability.
The owner’s suite features a full-width bathroom with rich black and gold mosaic detailing, a shower, sink, toilet and bidet, as well as a dressing area. The suite features a neutral scheme in keeping with its homely air.
Moving to the crew quarters, the Gulf 75 Exp yacht can accommodate 2 crew in a spacious layout including a comfortable seating and dining area.
Access to the fly-bridge from the main deck is via an exterior side stairwell that allows for both the wraparound style of the windows on the main deck as well as a more spacious fly-bridge layout.
The fly-bridge and outdoor decks can altogether easily accommodate up to 50-60 people, making the motor yacht Gulf 75 Exp an ideal party and group entertainment boat.
Another striking element in the Gulf 75 Exp yacht’s design that is bound to turn heads within the yachting community is its revolutionary never-seen-before hull design.
Answering the needs of the yachtsman who does not want to be tied down by weather conditions, who desires a stable and safe cruising experience and is looking for a craft that’s fuel efficient, the luxury yacht Gulf 75 Exp ticks all the right boxes.
Gulf 75 Exp yacht features a revolutionary new “hybrid hull” which is based on an original design concept created by Gulf Craft’s Chairman Mohammed Hussain Al Shaali to answer the very needs that have challenged his yachting experiences and those of many of Gulf Craft’s clients over the years.
The shape of the new hull combines the stability of a semi-displacement hull with the lift and speed of a planing hull and is the first of its kind to ever be made. The result is a unique yacht design that allows the craft to maintain great stability and safety in high seas, while achieving high speeds whenever required.
The design was co-developed with Yankee Delta Studio and has been tank tested in Rome to very impressive results.
The hybrid hull answers what many clients say they want – greater safety and stability at slow speeds for a day out at sea with friends and family, as well the ability to reach higher cruising speeds quickly while remaining fuel efficient, for those days when the weather turns against you and you need to quickly make your way to shore.
The technology and engineering involved in the creation of this hull is a first within the industry and answers a real need in the market. The new Gulf 75 Exp yacht model is expected to lead the way in the development of a brand new line of pleasure craft coming out of Gulf Craft’s shipyards.
