The 50m (164ft) motor yacht LIBERTY was launched by ISA (International Shipyards Ancona) on Saturday, March 19, 2011. Yacht Liberty is the first yacht in a custom-made series of three new 50m superyachts currently under construction at the Italian ISA yard. Liberty is scheduled to be delivered in June 2011.
M/Y LIBERTY (Hull number 500.01) of the ISA series features design by the ISA in-house design and technical team and Andrea Vallicelli. She is a displacement motor yacht with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. All three yachts in the ISA 500 semi-custom design superyacht series feature the same technical platform and are composed of a sundeck, upper deck, main deck and lower deck however they each have a unique superstructure and transom design.
Liberty Yacht boasts elegant exterior lines that offer a smooth outline strengthened by the forward sloping windows which grant a sense of movement even when the yacht is at rest. Liberty has a dramatic dark grey metallic hull that contrasts with a brilliant white superstructure, the coating materials for which were supplied by Boero YachtCoatings.
The main deck boasts wide and spacious corridors with the main saloon encircled by a continuous panoramic window that opens through the wide sliding doors to the main deck aft.
The vast sundeck measures over 17 meters long and boasts a large pool, sunbathing area and bar plus a comfortable sitting area aft with a number of chais-longues. The central dining table is located under the mast with structural sunshade.
The upper deck forward of the wheelhouse is linked to the main deck and by a small stairway and is furnished with two sofas, a great area for guests to enjoy the view while underway,
Yacht LIBERTY’s transom has no staircase however the wide aft door opens, giving access to the “beach room” and creating a multipurpose area to enjoy using the water sport toys, swimming from the platform or sunbathing with a cocktail in hand. A large guest tender is stored in a garage adjoining “the beach area” and is launched through a door in the side of the hull.
ISA yacht LIBERTY is 49.95m (163.88ft) tri deck superyacht with a 9.00m (29.53ft) beam and a 2.5m (8.220ft) draft. She is propelled by twin MTU 12V4000 M17 engines enabling her to reach a maximum speed of approximately 16.8 knots with a cruising speed of 15.5 knots. Liberty will have a range of 2,200 NM and a fuel capacity of 69,000 litres. The yacht also features Quantum Zero Speed stabilizers. The ISA500.01 Liberty yacht will be both Lloyd’s and MCA classified.
