The breathtaking motor yacht RP102 Raised Pilothouse is a unique concept, developed by the prominent Taiwan-based shipyard, Horizon. Designed by renowned Dutch designer Cor D. Rover, the all-new Horizon RP102 RPH superyacht represents innovative design as well as new technology.
The new Horizon RP102 yacht concept features a combination of fluid lines and modern proportions – large glass windows allow natural light to flow into the interior spaces, and her layout offers a symbiosis of owner, guest and service areas, creating the feeling of a much larger yacht. A full beam Master Stateroom on the forward main deck, complete with an en-suite Master bath, provides a magnificent view and wall to wall luxury.
Equally impressive are the RP102 superyacht’s exterior areas; at the touch of a button, the RP102’s Sky Terrace, a patented design by Rover, can increase the flybridge deck area by 20% without compromising the yacht’s fluid design. A beach club forward of the swim platform offers a space ideal for enjoying the ocean view that is also protected from the sun.
Horizon utilized Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and scaled model tests to successfully develop the luxury yacht RP102 hull form, which provides 25% less fuel consumption at 20 knots cruising speed than a conventional planning hull.
The new Horizon RP102 yacht concept design is the answer to consumer demand, emphasizing luxury, safety and interior volume within a dual purpose, performance-oriented hull.
Additional details will be revealed at Horizon’s booth in Hall 6 A28 at the 2013 Dusseldorf Boat Show; more information can be also provided by the Horizon Marketing Center at marketingcenter@horizonyacht.com.
