Australian Yacht Designer, Scott Blee of SABDES Design, has teamed up with Feadship on the new motor yacht ‘SLeek 39m’ design. Superyacht ‘SLeek 39m’ design was initially defined by taking styling cues from SABDES’s own 145m mega yacht ‘Project X’.
Scott explains that “the new design proved to be a successful exercise in downscaling some signature styling elements from their much larger Yacht design to create a new design in what is a popular size of Superyacht.”
The SLeek 39m yacht design has a unique and alluring smoothness to her form. Some features that set her apart are: she has integrated drop down balconies port and starboard 5m long and 2m long, that don’t disrupt the profile lines when they are up. A section of the Superstructure above the main deck is painted with Mica paint allowing the colour to change when viewed from different angles, this and the sweeping structure that starts at the bow and integrates into the aft end of the upper sun-deck both create the visual effect of lowering the height of the tri-decks. The flybridge has a polycarbonate wrap-around screen that seemlessly grows out of the Bridge cabin deck fwd. And the Portuguese Bridge doubles its functionality by being a Wavebreaker.
SABDES are also progressing ahead with other new designs in the size range 38m to 45m.
