The prestigious custom carbon manufacturer, Baltic Yachts, has received a remarkable number of trophies for the Baltic 108 sailing superyacht WinWin this year, including Sailing Yacht of the Year in the World Superyacht Awards 2015. Last year saw the shipyard win the same awards with the equally highly successful Baltic 107 superyacht INUKSHUK.
Baltic 108 super yacht WinWin’s full list of awards includes the ShowBoat Design Awards 2015 for Exterior Design & Styling, as well as Interior Design; the World Superyacht Awards 2015, winning as Sailing Yacht of the Year and Best Sailing Yacht 30m – 44.99m; as well as the International Superyacht Society Award 2015 as Best Sailing Yacht 24m – 40m.
This year also marked a great success of sailing yacht WinWin on the racecourse, winning her first race in the St Barth Bucket and scoring podium finishes in other regattas. The all-carbon, lightweight and luxuriously appointed WinWin was designed by Javier Jaudenes and her multi-award winning styling and Baltic Yachts-built interior are by Design Unlimited.
Like all the latest generation carbon superyachts from Baltic Yachts, luxury yacht WinWin boasts highly sophisticated engineering and weight control in her construction, delivering an excellent performance both as a racing yacht as well as a luxury cruiser.
Baltic CEO Henry Hawkins said: “The yard is very proud of these achievements and sends its warmest congratulations to WinWin’s owner, designers and build team. Baltic’s pioneering history in precision carbon construction combined with our knowledgeable and passionate customers has resulted in this sustained success.”
Baltic’s Sales Director Kenneth Nyfelt added: “These awards reflect our holistic approach to custom superyacht building. We offer all disciplines in-house from naval architecture to interior joinery and work closely with external experts in design and styling.”
This year saw Baltic Yachts hand over a 116-footer, a 115-footer and is well advanced with the building of a Baltic 130 yacht and a revolutionary Baltic 175 superyacht. A number of yachts are presently undergoing a refit at the Baltic shipyard in Finland as well as the company’s base in Palma, Mallorca.
