The new explorer superyacht concept Nordhavn N148 was unveiled at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Designed by Vripack in collaboration with Nordhavn, this 45m expedition yacht with “ultimate crossover” features.
Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the project is estimated to be completed in less than two years. The Ice Classed hull will provide endless opportunities for her owners to explore remote areas around the world.
Vice president of Nordhavn’s Pacific Asian Enterprises division Jim Leishman commented: “We’ve talked about building a larger boat for a while now. It would be something specifically meant for the most challenging worldwide conditions.”
In 2018 Nordhavn and Vripack announced partnership during the FLIBS, where they presented the 24m explorer N80.
This time the shipyard is planning to build N148 in Europe, which will become the flagship.
